At Martindale Kennels, we’re more than just a place for your dog to stay — we’re a training-focused environment built to support your dog’s emotional and behavioral well-being.
Whether your dog is new to our facility or a returning guest who needs help settling during boarding, we offer a unique training experience during their stay. Under the guidance of professional dog trainer Renee Mauro, your dog will learn how to be calm, confident, and comfortable in our care.
Boarding Enrichment stays include a personalized report card with trainer insights, tips, and even video updates, so you can follow your dog’s progress every step of the way.
We provide structure, clear rules, and calm, confident handlers who help your dog feel safe and secure — because your dog deserves more than just a place to stay.
Imagine being able to take your dog anywhere — calm, well-behaved, and responsive. It’s all about setting pack positions and becoming your dog’s guide and protector through life. Once your dog stays with us, we don’t just stop at their progress — we share everything they’ve learned and teach you, the owner, how to achieve calm and neutrality, just like we do.

Boarding Enrichment activities are $20 a day (each dog) plus the cost of boarding

Dogs struggling with stress, anxiety or fear in boarding could require the Enrichment training to help them until they are confident and comfortable. A report card from Renee will outline the details and a training plan.

An accurate arrival time is imperative to ensure the training team is ready and available.
Immunization Requirements
Martindale Kennels requires proof (showing expiry dates) of the following immunization certificates for all our guests to help ensure that your pet’s visit is a healthy one. Once an online profile has been created, documents can be uploaded to your profile or sent by email or text.
Dogs
Required:
-Core: canine distemper virus, canine adenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus type 2
-Rabies
-Bordetella (if expired and given orally, at least 72 hours before visit or by needle, 2 weeks before visit)
Highly Recommended:
-Leptospirosis, Flea/Tick Treatment
Cats
Required:
-FVRCP (panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis and calicivirus)
-Rabies

Check-In Requirements for Pets
At Martindale Kennels, your pet's health and safety is our main priority. We do not want to interrupt your pets diet so we ask you bring their food and treats. You can fill out all of your pet's feeding and medication information in your pets online profile. Our staff are compassionate and also proficient in administering medications and tending to pets with special needs.
Please also ensure that your dog is wearing a leash when he/she joins us.
Please provide an accurate arrival time within 15 minutes to ensure we are available and prepared for your dog's individual needs upon arrival.
